Keneseth Israel is located at 2227 Chew Street in the west end of the city of Allentown, at the east edge of the Muhlenberg College campus. FROM ANYWHERE IF YOU HAVE A GPS Just program Pennsylvania => Allentown => 2227 => Chew Street => SAVE then enjoy the scenery. FROM THE EAST/NORTHEAST (NEW JERSEY, NEW YORK AND NEW ENGLAND) Interstate
78 (I-78) is the main access road to Allentown. Follow I-78 west
into Pennsylvania. It will run south of Easton, Bethlehem and
Allentown. Look for the "Cedar Crest" exit and bear
right at the bottom of the exit ramp. You will be driving north
on Cedar Crest Boulevard. Follow Cedar Crest Boulevard north
until you reach the sixth traffic signal. There will be an Exxon
station to your right front. Turn right ninety-degrees onto Chew
Street (do not take the diagonal street). Follow Chew Street
past one traffic signal, through the Muhlenberg College campus.
Keneseth Israel is on the left side at the corner of Chew Street
and 23rd. FROM THE SOUTH (PHILADELPHIA, BALTIMORE AND POINTS SOUTH) Via Pennsylvania
Route 309. Drive
north on Route 309 through Quakertown toward Allentown. Route
309 will eventually converge with I-78 west. Get on I-78 west
and look for the "Cedar Crest" exit and bear right
at the bottom of the exit ramp. You will be driving north on
Cedar Crest Boulevard. Follow Cedar Crest Boulevard north until
you reach the sixth traffic signal. There will be an Exxon
station to your right front. Turn right ninety-degrees onto
Chew Street (do not take the diagonal street). Follow Chew
Street past one traffic signal, through the Muhlenberg College
campus. Keneseth Israel is on the left side at the corner of
Chew Street and 23rd. Via
the northeast extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Drive north on the northeast
extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike to the Lehigh Valley
exit (exit 56). After paying the toll, take the right exit
ramp which goes onto Route 22 east, a limited access highway.
Take the third exit, "Cedar Crest Boulevard" and
make a left turn at the top of the exit ramp. Drive south
on Cedar Crest Boulevard to the third traffic signal. There
will
be an Exxon station on your left. Turn left ninety degrees
onto Chew Street (do not take the diagonal street). Follow
Chew Street past one traffic signal, through the Muhlenberg
College campus. Keneseth Israel is on the left side at the
corner of Chew Street and 23rd. FROM THE NORTH (SCRANTON, THE POCONOS AND POINTS NORTH) Via
the Pennsylvania Turnpike. Drive
south on the northeast extension of the Pennsylvania Turnpike
to the Lehigh Valley exit (exit 56). After paying the toll,
take the right exit ramp which goes onto Route 22 east, a
limited access highway. Take the third exit, "Cedar
Crest Boulevard" and
make a left turn at the top of the exit ramp (Cedar Crest
has only one exit for both directions). Drive south on Cedar
Crest
Boulevard to the third traffic signal. There will be an Exxon
station on your left. Turn left ninety degrees onto Chew
Street (do not take the diagonal street). Follow Chew Street
past
one traffic signal, through the Muhlenberg College campus.
Keneseth Israel is on the left side at the corner of Chew
Street and 23rd. Via Route
33 from the Poconos. Drive
south on Route 33, a limited-access road, and take the exit
onto Route 22 west. Follow Route 22 west north of Bethlehem
and Allentown until the exit marked "Cedar Crest Boulevard," then
make a left turn at the top of the exit ramp. Drive south on
Cedar Crest Boulevard to the third traffic signal. There will
be an Exxon station on your left. Turn left ninety degrees
onto Chew Street (do not take the diagonal street). Follow
Chew Street past one traffic signal, through the Muhlenberg
College campus. Keneseth Israel is on the left side at the
corner of Chew Street and 23rd. FROM THE WEST (PITTSBURGH, HARRISBURG AND POINTS WEST) Drive east on Interstate 78 (I-78). Just west of Allentown, take the well-marked right-hand exit onto Route 22, a limited access highway. Continue to follow Route 22 to the "Cedar Crest Boulevard" exit, then make a left turn at the top of the exit ramp. Drive south on Cedar Crest Boulevard to the third traffic signal. There will be an Exxon station on your left. Turn left ninety degrees onto Chew Street (do not take the diagonal street). Follow Chew Street past one traffic signal, through the Muhlenberg College campus. Keneseth Israel is on the left side at the corner of Chew Street and 23rd.

Wherever you are coming from, start from the Route 22 Cedar Crest Exit, then follow directions below to the cemetery. (Click to see more pictures of Keneseth Israel's cemetery). TO THE ROUTE 22 CEDAR CREST EXIT (CEDAR CREST BOULEVARD)
Drive north on Cedar Crest Boulevard, past the Crest Shopping Plaza on the left, approximately 0.4 miles to the intersection of Cedar Crest and Walbert Avenue. Walbert Avenue is the first four-way traffic signal north of Route 22; the only street sign is on the near left. Turn right on Walbert Avenue and drive approximately 0.8 miles to Filbert Street (there will be a green-and-white "KI CEMETERY" sign on top of the street sign to your front left). Turn left on Filbert, then turn left on Coolidge (there will be another green-and-white "KI CEMETERY" sign on top of the street sign) and drive straight toward the gates of the cemetery.
